This article aims to defend the need for uniform regulation on civil service examination in Brazil. Thus, initially, from documentary and doctrinal research, the constitutional panorama on the subject is exposed. Then, the problems arising from the lack of uniform rules on civil service examination are presented. Subsequently, the possibility of regulation through a national law is questioned. Finally, the rules contained in Bill No. 252/2003 are examined.
