In October 2018, the Constitution of the Republic will complete 30 years of promulgation. Without pretension to exhaust the debate, this article brings an analysis of its performance throughout the period, drawing a parallel of the national scene when celebrating its 10 and 20 years of existence. The highs and lows of these three decades are examined, and at the end some reflections of accumulated experience and propositions for a future more in line with the changes that need to be implemented are exposed.
