Abstract

The article deals with the selection adopted by the Public Administration to admit public servants, which takes place by means of competition, in accordance to the constitutional requirement of 1934.The author discusses in the text about the models of administrative organization in Brazil, indicates the factors that contributed to the discredit of the selection procedure and clarifies the importance of the function of the control bodies in regard to its future.
