It can be stated that the fundamental role of the Law is to guarantee social pacification. Nevertheless, contrary to what many people believe, it is not only by judicialization that social peace is achieved. Alternative systems of social pacification are efficient methods of conflict resolution as, besides ending the problem, they are faster, more economical, and less stressful for the ones involved. The purpose of this article is to study the activity of the Health Dispute Resolution Chamber (CRLS, abbreviation in Portuguese), in the municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes, state of Rio de Janeiro, in a scenario of intense judicialization of public health policies. A descriptive, bibliographic, and documental methodology was adopted. Results demonstrated that the CRLS networked action fostered the administrative resolution of conflicts by prioritizing existing public policies without neglecting to guarantee individual health needs.
