Editorial Policy

PGE-RJ's Electronic Journal is published three times per year. Submissions are received on a continuous flow basis and analyzed according to the compliance with the rules detailed in “Authors' Guidelines”, according to the following terms:

  1. Submission for publication is free. No paper processing or submission fees are required;
  2. The selection of works for publication is made by the editorial team, which verifies the adequacy to the editorial policy and the publication rules;
  3. After preliminary approval, the article is sent to at least two external reviewers chosen by the Executive Board, in a peer review system. The names of the evaluators and authors will be kept confidential at all stages of the evaluation process;
  4. Reviewers' analysis may suggest anything from formal changes to mandatory content reviews. After being accepted by the author, the changes will be subject to new analysis;
  5. The editorial team will contact the author of the article to communicate the result of the evaluation: “approved”, “approved with suggestions” or “rejected for publication”. The notification will be followed by a copy of the analysis content;
  6. The editorial team reserves the right not to immediately publish the approved texts immediately, as this depends on the maximum number of works published per volume, as well as on the endogenous and exogenous relationship between authors and reviewers;
  7. PGE-RJ's Electronic Journal publishes only articles by up to 3 (three) authors, always observing the minimum degree of master, and preferably linked to a Postgraduate Program in Law (or similar areas). Master's works will only be published if they reach a level of excellence attested by the journal's editorial board, respecting the other elective criteria. Articles whose authors are undergraduate students will not be accepted.
  8. The sending of the manuscript, attachments and the completion of all data are the sole responsibility of the authors of the submitted works;
  9. Authors are also exclusively responsible for the opinions and concepts issued in the manuscripts, as well as the accuracy and provenance of citations, not necessarily reflecting the position / opinion of the journal's editorial team;
  10. PGE-RJ's Electronic Journal does not assume responsibility for linguistic mistakes and asks the authors to grammatically review the texts before publication;
  11. Submissions of papers implies automatic agreement with the “Copyright Notice”.
